Composer and guitarist Mert Pekduraner, who has been involved in numerous projects both domestically and internationally, will perform at Beyoğlu Jazz Festival accompanied by a select group of talented musicians. Living between Istanbul and Amsterdam, Mert Pekduraner began his musical journey in Adana. Growing up in this region greatly contributed to his deep connection with Anatolian sounds, which has played an important role in shaping his approach to composition. In 2020, Mert Pekduraner gained recognition with his composition Kıyı (Side by Side - Venice Biennale Main Theme), recorded for an architectural installation at the 17th Venice Biennale. Following this, he released his studio albums Geriye Ne Kaldı? and DIALOGUES IN THE DARK, which helped him build a distinctive fan base. For his upcoming performance, Pekduraner will be joined by Nihal Saruhanlı on drums and Oğuzcan Bilgin on trumpet, presenting tracks from both his debut and second albums. Pekduraner, as a musician, composer, and artist, has performed in countries including Turkey, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Macedonia, Serbia, and others. He continues to work on new projects and compositions. Line-up: • Mert Pekduraner – Guitar/Fretless Guitar • Nihal Saruhanlı – Drums and Percussion • Oğuzcan Bilgin – Trumpet
